Lowcountry Tide Clocks is a husband and wife business based in Georgetown, South Carolina, founded by Shawn and Melissa James.

For over 30 years, Shawn worked in a paper mill while building tide clocks in his workshop as a hobby. When the paper mill closed, it forced us to make a life-changing decision. What started as a passion quickly became our full-time business, and Lowcountry Tide Clocks was born.

Living along the coast of South Carolina, the tide isn’t just something we watch — it’s part of everyday life. We spend our free time fishing Winyah Bay, boating the rivers, and enjoying the coastal lifestyle that makes this place home. That connection to the water inspires every clock we make.

Each Lowcountry Tide Clock is carefully designed and handcrafted in our Georgetown workshop using precision laser engraving and high-quality materials. Our clocks are built to last and designed to help you stay connected to the coastal places you love most.
